2014 Spätburgunder trocken "CCL", Baden, Germany

Nutty, tobacco and slightly dried-vegetable aroma of predominantly red berries with wilt-floral and earthy notes. Quite tightly knit red fruit with spicy, tobacco and slightly toasty wood flavours, fine, rather youthful tannin and some acid bite, persistent on the palate, mineral tones, some smoke and noticeable cocoa, very slightly muted, very good, quite firm finish with still a little drying wood notes, but also minerality again
