2016 Verrenberg Lemberger VDP.Ortswein trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Clear, firm, lively nose, red and black berry notes, hint of pomegranate, delicate herbaceous and peppery notes, mineral traces, hint of citrus zests. Firmly structured, tart, as yet undeveloped fruit on the palate, lightly toasted, slightly bitter, nutty oak, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, hint of black olives, peppery notes, fairly prominent tannins, still slightly astringent, juicy, some acid bite, still youthful und undeveloped, improves significantly with aeration, good to very good, increasingly juicy finish.
