2012 Lemberger trocken XR, Württemberg, Germany

Fairly mature nose, light dried vegetal notes, very light sweaty, animal traces, predominantly black and a few red berries and cherries, some soup greens, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, partly preserved, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, toasted, smoky oak, salty notes, soup greens, peppery spice, persistent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, slightly jammy style, ethereal notes, light acid bite, sandy, astringent tannins, good to very good, fairly firm, still astringent finish.
