2013 Lagrein Réserve trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Light dried floral and herbaceous notes on the nose, light spicy oak, ripe mixed berries and some cherries, peppery traces, hint of mushrooms and bacon, cedary notes. Clear, fairly cool, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, noticeable acid bite, fine sandy tannins, very slightly astringent, earthy notes and some more mushrooms, medium body and persistence, slightly brittle, hint of citrus, good to very good, fairly firm, tart, juicy, cool finish.
