2005 Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Editor note: Deep, concentrated nose, preserved black berries and tobacco, mienral notes, smoky and roasted notes with a hint of soot. Quite cool on the palate, elegant acidity, prominent smoky and roasted oak with sooty notes, fairly prominent but only slightly astringent tannins, evenly distributed, firm structure and good depth, mineral notes in the background, still appears quite closed and a litle austere, dark fruit and spicy oak on a long finish. Definitely needs time to mature and develop.
