2005 Mittelburgenland trocken Vitikult, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly mature nose, but still slightly closed red berriy fruit, hint of rubber. Quite complex on the palate with mineral notes, again fairly open with fleshy berry fruit, persistent, has good substance, integrated medium fine-grained tannins, slightly unusual style, has some depth, delicate berries on a good long finish.

Editor note: Clear nose with cherries and blueberries, very well integrated, lightly roasted spicy oak, sweetish herbaceous notes and some tobacco. Fairly cool style, quite elegant, juicy fruit, light roasted oak, some chocolate, vegetal notes, slightly astringent tannins, not particularly deep, but pleasant to drink, attractive finish.
