Editor note: Firm nose, smoky, spicy oak, black berries, soup greens, light nutty and earthy notes, mineral traces in the background. Ripe, juicy dark fruit on the palate, prominent spicy oak and chocolate, light acid bite, youthful, fine sandy tannins, persistent and full-bodied, some smoked bacon, slightly jammy, but also firm, still largely undeveloped, more toasted oak and chocolate on a very good finish. Uncompromisingly modern style, very ripe with lots of oak.
Best to drink: 2019-2025+

One of the five specific ones wine regions in the Austrian state or generic wine-growing region Burgenland, In 2016 there was a restructuring with some changes in the names and area boundaries. Central Burgenland was not affected by this; Name and boundaries remained the same.
