Since 1992, the 14th generation has been managed by the brothers Markus and Christoph Kauer. Since the year 2000, the wine cellar has been completely in the hands of Christoph Kauer. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Römerberg, Rosenberg, Saukopf and Sonnenmorgen (Windesheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Rivaner, as well as with the Pinot Noir. Consistently natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced. The quality criteria in the vineyard are intensive foliage work, low yield, late and selective hand picking, as well as gentle grape processing. After a long fermentation and long yeast storage, the wines are mostly aged dry. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine is also produced.
