2014 Forst Pechstein Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Quite a dark, firm, smoky nose of citrus fruit, stone fruit and mustard cucumber with some dried herbs, bacon, floral nuances and stony, again dark minerality. Ripe, juicy yellow fruit, again a little mustard cucumber, fine acidity, almost a little curry-hot yellow spice and caraway on the palate, tones reminiscent of seaweed, smoky and salty notes, also dark minerality again, light, sweetish melting, certain warmth, but also cooling elements, a hint of breadcrumbs roasted in butter, very good, juicy, mineral and spicy finish.

Braucht viel Zeit.
