2002 Grauburgunder B, Rheingau, Germany

Still very restrained, but deep aroma of pumpkin, melon, minerals and some apple with subdued oak aromas. Concentrated and firmly structured, oak is more prominent on the palate than on the nose, but with enormous concentration and depth, compact, extremely persistent, beautiful fruit, enormous length. Nobody would think of placing this wine in the Rheingau. The greatest white Burgundian wine ever produced in Germany.
