2002 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling, Rheingau, Germany

Intense mineral notes on the nose, first facial cream, then partly candied citrus fruit, after a few minutes beautifully pure apricot aromas, plus pineapple, highly concentrated, complex and unbelievably subtle. Absolutely pure in the mouth, highly concentrated and at the same time amazingly elegant, extremely deep, firm and persistent, lots of body, breathtaking depth and persistence, still much too young, enormous length. A masterpiece that requires several years of maturation.
