2010 Forst Riesling trocken Basalt, Pfalz, Germany

Light nutty, vegetal and herbaceous notes on the nose, touch of yellow spice, yellow fruit, prominent mineral notes, yeasty traces, hint of butter caramel. Very slightly sweetish fruit on the palate, yeasty and nutty notes, some more caramel, fairly prominent acidity, slightly muted by tannins, buttery traces and some yellow spice, light mineral as well as wilted floral notes, good persistence, slightly muted again on a good to very good finish with sweetish caramel notes.
