2017 Forst Ungeheuer Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Firm nose, still undeveloped and very slightly reductive, pomaceous and stone fruit, light vegetal notes, very light lactic and volatile notes, mineral notes. Fairly juicy and fairly sweet fruit on the palate, yeasty, vegetal and floral notes, hint of dark berries, elegant acidity, integrated tannins provide some grip, good substance and persistence, some depth, prominent salty mineral notes, chalky notes, still young, some sugar candy on an unnecessarily sweet, very good, juicy, mineral finish.
