Editor note: Light yeasty and delicate nutty notes on the nose, dried vegetal notes, citrus fruit and some red berries, light mineral notes in the background. Clear, tart, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty and nutty aromas, vegetal notes, mineral traces, delicate tannic grip, fairly good persistence, still undeveloped, good to very good, tart finish.
Best to drink: 2020-2022+

The red grape variety ( breeding number Klosterneuburg 181-2-71) is a new breed between St. Laurent x Blaufränkisch (which happened through in 1997 DNA analysis has been confirmed). Synonyms are Blue Zweigeltrebe, Blauer Zweigelt, Cvaigelt, Cveigelt, Klosterneuburg 71, Rotburger, Semenac Cerni 71, Zweigelt 71, Zweigeltrebe and Zwiegel.
