Fairly open nose, earthy and dried herbaceous notes, preserved dark berries and a few cherries, hint of tobacco, chocolate, toasted notes, peppery traces, noticeable high alcohol. Preserved raspberries and cherries on the palate, nutty aromas, some cereals, integrated sandy, slightly astringent tannins, prominent peanuts, light smoky oak, slightly bitter cocoa notes, good substance and persistence, but also has very high and slightly sharp alcohol, salty notes in the background, light jammy notes, a little overblown, but improves with aeration, good to very good finish.
