2003 Leithaberg Pinot Noir trocken Cavallo, Burgenland, Austria

Editor note: Complex nose with herbs and oak, preserved and partly dried red berries with mushrooms, prominent mineral notes, light notes of smoked meat. Tart in the mouth, red berries and oak, quite lively acidity, vegetal notes, prominent tannins and some old oak on the palate, more mineral notes in the background, quite concentrated and firm, still youthful, very good, delicately tart finish with malted notes. Remains interesting over a period of several days, only the prominent oak prevents a higher rating.
