2006 Blaufränkisch trocken Reserve, Burgenland, Austria

Black berries and sour cherries on the nose, spicy and light herbaceous notes, restrained oak, earthy and mineral notes. Relatively cool on the palate, dark fruit, prominent smoky and roasted oak, delicately tart spicy notes, good persistence, medium body, has some depth, mineral and light earthy notes in the background, oak brings some superfluous sooty notes, but otherwise very well balance, firm structure, good long finish.
