2007 Syrah trocken Reserve, Burgenland, Austria

Preserved black berries, some red berries and cherries on the nose, hint of cocoa, slightly sweetish, fairly prominent new oak. Polished fruit on the palate, more prominent oak and chocolate, tart coffee tones, fairly prominent astringent tannins, medium-bodied and fairly creamy, not particularly deep, not a lot of substance, prominent roasted notes again on the finish.
