2007 St. Magdalener / Santa Maddalena DOC Classico, Alto Adige, Italy

Clear red berry nose, slightly dried floral notes, sopme almonds and a hint of black berries. Soft and fairly mature on the palate, preserved mixed fruit, some tobacco, fairly prominent mature tannins, light oak and some almonds, good persistence, could be a little more focused, good finish.

Editor note: Slightly jammy red berries on the nose, slightly reductive, floral and vegetal notes. Clear red berry fruit on the palate, light herbaceous and floral notes, sweetish spicy oak, hint of sandy tannins, fairly persistent and slightly creamy, touch of vanilla on an attractive to good finish.
