Cool nose, citrus, apple and peach fruit, vegetal notes, earthy and floral traces. Bone dry fruit on the palate, vegetal and floral notes, nutty traces, lively acidity, fine sandy tannins provide some grip, medium body, fairly persistent, floral traces, earthy and mineral notes, touch of juniper, slightly muted on a good to very good finish.
Common name in German-speaking countries for the Riesling, to clearly distinguish it from the (unrelated) Welschriesling. See also under Rhein.
