2015 Nackenheim Rothenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep, astringent, still somewhat yeasty, also herbal to herbaceous scent with light yellow fruity aromas, hinted yellow spice, a little bit of gum reminding petroliferous nuances and intense minerality. Clear, firm and fine juicy in the mouth, cool, light style, lively, very fine acidity, yeast notes, a little herbal and vegetable tones and floral nuances, dense and persistent on the palate, still little developed, again very present minerality, gripping, deep, has tension, very light red-berry nuances in the background, closes with a day of air, very good to long, firm, juicy, again rather cool finish. Must mature

Editor note: Firm, deep, somewhat dried-vegetable to herbal and also slightly yeasty fragrance with still slightly muted yellow-fruity aromas, pink pepper and clear minerality. Firm, yet subtle in the mouth, tart, juicy and slightly yeasty, intense earthy and mineral spice, persistent and dense, fairly prominent, yet mature tannins, robust style, good depth, barely developed, tobacco and nutty traces, very good, juicy, grippy and mineral finish with soup herb notes.
