The estate is located in the municipality of Alzey-Weinheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, The origin of the family can be traced back to 1450 and is located in Switzerland. The winery was built around 1750. Among the ancestors is a Georg Neidlinger who achieved fame and money in America (the invention of the "boat" in the Singer sewing machine goes back to him). Gernot Gysler is fully committed to quality viticulture and bottled wine for the first time. After years of training in Rheinhessen and in the Palatinate, his son Alexander graduated from the university of applied sciences Geisenheim in 1999 as a graduate engineer and took over his parents' business after the death of his father. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in individual locations hell, Kapellenberg, church piece and Mandelberg (Weinheim).

They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Scheurebe and Huxelrebe. In 2004 was on Organic viticulture With greening as well as dispensing with mineral fertilizers and herbicides changed. After a traditional mash fermentation, the red wines are aged in French barriques. The white wines ferment in a temperature-controlled manner in stainless steel tanks and mature on the yeast for a long time. Since 2005, the dry wines have been marketed in two quality classes, estate wines and S-class. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
