The winery in the municipality of Heppenheim is located in the German wine-growing region Hessian mountain road
, It was founded in 1926 by Heinrich and Elisbaeth Freiberger and further expanded by his two sons. Today it is in the third generation of Heinz sen. and Heinz jun. Freiberg managed. The vineyards cover 15.5 hectares of vines in the individual Heppenheimer Eckweg, Guldenzoll, Maiberg, Schlossberg, Steinkopf
and stemmler. Two thirds of them are planted with the varieties Riesling (7.6 ha) and Ruländer (3 ha), as well as Pinot Noir, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Kerner, Chardonnay, Johanniter, Dornfelder and St. Laurent. Viticulture close to nature is practiced. The wines are partly traditionally aged in large wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks. Sparkling wines, sparkling wines, brandies, yeast brandies, pomace brandies and liqueurs are also produced.
