The winery in the Italian wine sector South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ) was founded in 1977. It consists of two courtyards. The company headquarters is the "Hausmannhof" above the municipality of Salurn (Salorno) in the Buchholz district. The "Obermairlhof" was later added above Klausen in the Eisack Valley. The company is run by the Ochsenreiter family. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Tramin, Kurtatsch, Salurn and Klausen. They are planted with the white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner and Riesling, as well as the red varieties Blauburgunder, Merlot and Cabernet. Environmentally friendly management is carried out according to the organic certified principles of the Organic viticulture With biodynamic Methods. The annual controls are carried out by the Bio-Control BIKO Tirol. Quality criteria in the vineyard are gentle on the vines, gentle pruning and strict grape selection.
The wines are in the three lines Hausmannhof, Obermairlhof and Selection under the DOC names Eisacktaler and South Tyrol produced. The white wines are slowly fermented with the aim of fruity aromas and only bottled in the summer of the following year.
