2002 Mittelburgenland Blaufränkisch trocken Biiri, Burgenland, Austria

Ripe black berries on the nose, prominent mineral notes and some herbaceous notes, roasted notes and some cedar wood. Quite concentrated and juicy on the palate, fairly mature, sweetish and tart spice, roasted notes, some cocoa, very fine, evenly distributed tannins, mineral traces in the background, medium depth, very good finish.

Editor note: Fairly mature nose with dry, dark berries, dark chocolate, hint of lovage, delicate earthy and mineral traces. Also delicately mature on the palate, fruit of plums and preserved berries, some dried herbs, slightly bitter cocoa, delicately spicy, elegant, sweetish maturation notes, mature tannins, slightly astringent on a good finish.
