2008 Ried Kart Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Nose still shy and slightly dominated by oak, elegant berry fruit, vegetal, mineral and prominent herbaceous notes. Very elegant and polished again on the palate, straightforward preserved red currant fruit, delicate herbaceous and mineral notes, light earthy notes, delicate spicy oak, tannins still slightly prominent, well contoured and has substance, shows its origin, improves with aeration, gains depth and becomes more elegant, needs time to develop, very good finish.

Editor note: Rather tart, even sour nose, black berries and some red berries, cherries, herbaceous and vegetal notes. Cool and firm on the palate, polished, fairly closed fruit, delicate touch of chocolate and oak, fairly fine, youthful tannins, earthy notes, delicate acid bite, mineral notes in the background, good persistence, very good cool finish.
