2015 Ried Fabian Pinot Noir trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Cool nose, light meaty traces, mixed berries and cherries, hint of beet root, tobacco and smoky notes, earthy and mineral notes. Firm, juicy, compact fruit on the palate, slightly smoky oak, spicy notes, hint of sugar candy, slightly creamy, minty notes, herbs and spices, tannins still slightly sandy and astringent, salty notes in the background, still largely undeveloped, some depth, creamy, but also has grip and bite, very good, fairly juicy finish. Needs some time to develop.
