2017 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Hochberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, tart nose, hint of tobacco, black berries and a few cherries, peppery notes, moderate oak, earthy and mineral notews. Tart dark fruit on the palate, toasted oak, touch of licorice and tar, some dark chocolate and coffee in the background, youthful tannins, some bite, good persistence, full body, still young, mineral traces, some bite on a good to very good finish.
