Editor note: Cool, fairly deep, polished nose, delicate yeasty traces, light yellow fruit, mineral notes, vegetal traces. Firm, clear, tart fruit on the palate, lively, polished acidity, vegetal and yeasty notes, persistent, light grip, fairly prominent mineral notes, good depth, still very young, more prominent mineral notes on a very good, firm, cool, juicy finish. Classy wine, but currently rather closed.
Best to drink: 2020-2027+

Editor note: Fairly tart, deep, surprisingly cool nose, elegant vegetal and prominent mineral notes, elegant pomaceous fruit, light herbaceous notes, floral traces. Firm, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, nutty and yeasty notes, hint of tobacco, bacon, some dried herbs, concentrated, persistent and full-bodied, noticeable high alcohol, but also has cool elements, good depth, still young, floral traces, some peppery notes with aeration, very good long, juicy, polished finish. Has improved significantly.

Editor note: Firm nose, still rather closed, yeasty and light nutty notes, elegant vegetal aromas, citrus and pomaceous fruit, light floral traces, prominent earthy and chalky mineral notes. Firm, ripe, fairly polished fruit on the palate, yeasty and more light earthy notes, light nutty touch, lively acidity, integrated tannnins, light bitter touch, good persistence, firm grip, full body, some depth, not yet approachable, slightly noticeable warm alcohol and more light bitter traces on a very good finish.
Best to drink: 2018-2024+
The German growing area Franconia was earlier in the three areas Maindreieck. Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 major layers and 216 individual layers structured. In November 2011, a new regulation was passed by the members of the Franconian Winegrowing Association. The three old areas are replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will replace the 23 major locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for some time.
