The winery is located in the municipality Gumpoldskirchen
in the winegrowing area Thermenregion
(Lower Austria). It has been run by the family since 1790. Harald Zierer sr. built it from the 1960s of two hectares on today's size. A tavern is connected. Since 1998, the company has been run by Ing. Harald Zierer jr. guided. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Badenerweg, Eichkogel
, Hausberg, Hohleisl, Mitterwiese, Katzbühel, Rasslerin, Satzing and Sonnenberg. They are 80% of the white varieties Rotgipfler, Zierfandler, Chardonnay, Riesling, Welschriesling and Pinot Blanc, and planted to 20% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Blue Portugal, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
Depending on the grape variety and the type of wine, the wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, large wooden barrels or French oak barrels. The premium wines include Redgipfler Reserve, Chardonnay Grande Reserve and Merlot Grande Cuvée (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah). In weather-appropriate years also sweet predicate wines are pressed like Trockenbeerenauslese. Every year around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced. It also produces brandies. The winery is a member of the two winegrowers Zierfandlerwelt and Gumpoldskirchner wine maker.
