2006 Pinot Noir trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Partly dried vegetal notes on the nose, red berries, touch of root vegetables, nutty and earthy notes. Ripe red and some black fruit on the palate, integrated sandy tannins, nutty, spicy oak, hint of cocoa in the background, earthy notes, smoky traces, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, hint of mushrooms, mineral traces, good finish.

Editor note: Delicately spicy red berry nose, tart herbs and some undergrowth, hint of chocolate, roasted notes. Some green wood on the palate, cool with light vegetal notes, polished, elegant red berry fruit, mineral traces, becomes more compact and lively with aeration, integrated tannins, has substance and is fairly persistent, delicate bitter notes and light mushroomy traces on a very good finish.
