2016 Pinot Noir trocken, Baden, Germany

Tart nose with fairly prominent vegetal notes, red and a few black berries, some rhubarb and sour cherries, earthy notes. Slightly muted fruit on the palate, smoky, nutty oak and earthy notes, light acid bite, fairly prominent, slightly sandy and astringent tannins, sooty traces, hint of sugar candy, some cocoa in the background, some grip, good persistence, light toasted notes on a good finish.
