The estate is located in the community Meddersheim in the German wine-growing region Near
, It is since the year 1999 by Harald Hexamer jun. guided. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Altenberg and Rheingrafenberg
(Meddersheim), Marbach (Sobernheim), as well as In the rocks
and King of rock
(Schlossboeckelheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (60%), Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Bacchus, and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Frühburgunder, Domina and Regent. Qualitative criteria in the vineyard are pruning only a sheet vine, thinning, exfoliation of the grape zone and selective harvest of optmal ripe grapes in several passes. The aim is to produce fruity, varietal wines that reflect the soil. The musts for the white wines are fermented with selected on the estate itself yeast and expanded exclusively in steel tanks. The red wines ripen depending on the desired type of wine in traditional wooden barrels and barriques. In climatically suitable years, ice wines are also pressed. Flaschenvergorene Winzersekte and pomace brandy from Pinot Noir are also produced.
