The estate is located in the municipality of Meddersheim in the German wine-growing region Near
, Since 1999 Harald Hexamer jun. guided. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Altenberg and Rheingrafenberg
(Meddersheim), Marbach (Sobernheim), and In the rocks
and King of rock
(Schlossboeckelheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (60%), Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Bacchus, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir, Dominatrix and Regent. Quality criteria in the vineyard include cutting only one vine, thinning, defoliation of the grape zone and selective harvesting of optimally ripe grapes in several passes. The aim is to produce fruit-emphasized, varietal wines that reflect the soil. The musts for the white wines are fermented with yeast selected on the estate itself and are only aged in steel tanks. Depending on the type of wine desired, the red wines mature in traditional wooden barrels and barriques. Ice-cold wines are also pressed in climatically suitable years. Bottle-fermented wine sparkling wines and pomace brandy from Pinot Noir are also produced.
