2012 Burrweiler Schlossgarten Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Fairly prominent animal and barnyardy notes on the nose, earthy notes and undergrowth, red and black berries, hint of licorice. Tart, cool fruit on the palate, earthy and vegetal notes, smoky oak, fairly prominent and slightly astringent tannins, salty traces, light acid bite, green citrus zests in the background, light bitter touch, not particularly deep, more prominent acidity and stil lastringent tannins on a good, tart finish.
