2017 Burrweiler Riesling VDP.Ortswein trocken Schiefer, Pfalz, Germany

Yeasty nose, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, light, tart yellow fruit, light mineral notes, nutty and peppery traces. Clear, sweetish, juicy, fairly firm fruit on the palate, elegant, lively acidity, some tannic grip, delicate floral and herbaceous aromas, touch of dark berries, good persistence and substance, mineral notes in the background, still young, some depth, some bite, more mineral notes and black berries on a very good, firm, slightly sweetish finish. Has developed very favourably.

Editor note: Nose still slightly restless and still has a touch of sulphur, citrus and stone fruit, vegetal, herbaceous, floral and mineral notes. Fairly sweet fruit on the palate, tart dried vegetal and some more floral notes, fairly prominent acidity, light tannic grip, fairly persistent, some sugar candy, hint of dark fruit, again still slightly restless and sulphurous, some bite on a good sweet finish.
