2001 Winningen Röttgen Riesling, Mosel, Germany

Imposing fragrance of partly candied citrus fruits with aromas of peaches and tropical fruit, very present, slightly spicy minerality, subtle botrytisnotes and fresh herbs. Enormously juicy fruit with complexe structure and a lot of fat, appears to be almost sweet, ripe acidity, complex aromas, accompanied from exotic fruit and herbs, with great structure, in the background delicate black currant aroma and sweet herbs, creamy touch, considerable length. Will enter presumable from medium 2003 to an undrinkable stadium and not recover from that before 2005.
