2016 Hatzenport Stolzenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Mosel, Germany

Firm, fairly deep nose, dried vegetal and yeasty notes, hint of bacon, fairly restrained, elegant yellow fruit, mature pomaceous fruit and some stone fruit, prominent earthy and mineral notes. Firm, tart, juicy, slightly creamy fruit on the palate, yeasty notes, dried vegetal and herbaceous as well as spicy notes, lively, elegant acidity, prominent ripe tannins, persistent, concentrated and gripping, dark earthy and mineral notes, hint of bacon, sage, thyme and oregano, some artichoke, full-bodied, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, slightly sweetish and creamy on a very good juicy, spicy, resiny, herbaceous and mineral finish.
