2006 Kamptal Grüner Veltliner trocken Maximum, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Deep, gripping, very complex nose, pomaceous fruit and honeydew melon, pulses, some preserved mandarine oranges and stone fruit, prominent herbaceous notes and tobacco, cool mineral notes in the background. Very powerful and highly concentrated on the palate, very juicy, sweetish and creamy melon fruit, slightly noticeable alcohol, elegant acidity, tobacco, peas in the pods, some caramel and mineral notes in the background, very persistent and deep, extremely creamy, very long finish. Actually goes over the top in a lot of respects, but great stuff nevertheless.
