The Hirtl winery is located in the township Poysdorf in the northeast of the Weinviertel wine-growing region in Lower Austria. The first records of the history of the traditional company can be found in 1729. Since 2001, Andrea and Martin Hirtl have managed the company. The vineyards cover 25 hectares of vineyards in the Kirchberg, Rösselberg and Waldberg vineyards. They are 75% planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Gelber Muskateller, and 25% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger and Merlot.
