Editor note: Light smoky notes on the nose, earthy and vegetal notes, red berry aromas, hint of dark berries, floral traces. Clear, tart, juicy, fairly cool fruit on the palate, light nutty, spicy oak, dried vegetal and herbaceous traces, peppery traces, good persistence, light acid bite, mineral traces, good to very good, fairly firm finish.
Best to drink: To 2023+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
