2007 Röttingen Feuerstein Spätburgunder trocken RR, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Oak on the nose, earthy and dried vegetal notes, mixed berries and cherries, hint of tobacco, dried floral aromas. Ripe, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, lightly toasted oak, very fine and very slightly dusty tannins, light bite, good persistence, hint of bacon and tobacco, light nutty notes, herbaceous traces in the background, some depth, hint of cocoa on a very good, rather juicy finish. Has improved significantly with maturation.
