2005 Escherndorf Lump Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Concentrated aroma of candied and dried citrus fruits, peaches and apricots with mineral and leafy notes. Concentrated and very sweet in the mouth, present, almost steely-cold acidity, mineral in the background, herbal notes, a little caraway, good persistence and depth, gripping, almost tart with all the sweetness, still barely developed, very slightly rough, long. Needs to mature.
