2009 Escherndorf Lump Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Developed, slightly waxy and a touch petrol-like citrus nose with citrus zest and stone fruit aromas as well as planty to herbal and floral nuances. Tart fruit with herbal, hints of nutty and a touch of waxy tones, hints of floral, lively acidity, a touch of tannin, very slightly sweet melting in the background, fine bitter tones, slightly noticeable but integrated alcohol, certain minerality, very slightly rough, good to very good finish. Has held up very well.
