Editor note: Clear nose, mixed berries and some cherries, nutty aromas, herbaceous traces and some cocoa. Warm but also fairly tart fruit on the palate, light smoky oak, partly dired vegetal and earthy notes, spicycocoa, light nutty notes and dried herbs, good substance and persistence, very light jammy traces and salty traces on a very good finish.
Best to drink: To 2021+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
