Editor note: Firm, fairly cool, tart nose, elegant vegetal and prominent mineral notes, polished yellow fruit, some black berries, light peppery and floral traces. Clear, juicy, polished fruit on the palate, lively, very elegant acidity, moderatelysweet, very fine tannins provide grip, light yeasty notes, light floral and herbaceous notes, touch of black berries, prominent mineral notesw, some depth, excellent balance, very good, elegant, gripping finish with moderate and well integrated sweetness.
Best to drink: To 2025+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
