The estate is located in the commune of Ingelheim (area Bingen ) in the German growing area Rheinhessen, It was built in 1881 by the Moselle Josef Neus senior, who originated and is regarded as a pioneer, subsequently created a special one that is still used today clone (Neus clone) of the Pinot Noir selected. In the late 19th century, the largest vaulted cellar in Rheinhessen was built under the property. The oldest also date from this period fuder barrels from the years 1893 and 1897, which have been in continuous use since then. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in individual locations horn and pares (Ingelheim). They are made with the red Pinot Noir varieties ( Pinot Noir ) with 70% of the stock, St. Laurent and Frühburgunder, as well as with the white wines Riesling. Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ) and Chardonnay planted. The range is in the three tier VDP classification model with great location, local wine and estate wine. The wines are aged for at least 12 months expanded. The means maceration Red wines obtained are without filtration bottled. Bottle-fermented sect are also produced. Around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German quality wine estates).
