1999 Randersacker Sonnenstuhl Silvaner Spätlese trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Supple aromas of quinces and candied apples, accompanied by very classy, spicy oak. Beautiful, youthful, elegantly juicy fruit, spicy oak quite well integrated, very attractive, lively, ripe acidity, clean and straightforward structure, light mineral notes, full-bodied, very good balance, polished feel, excellent length. Exceptionally good Silvaner, matured in barrique, and made with great care.
