2018 Erbach Hohenrain Riesling Grosses Gewächs, Rheingau, Germany

Firm, fairly deep nose, nutty and yeasty notes, touch of yellow spice, ripe yellow fruit, hint of mushrooms, floral and oily traces, prominent mineral notes. Tart, gripping, restrained yellow fruit on the palate, hint of tobacco and yellow spice, yeasty notes, fairly prominent tannins, elegant acidity, persistent, good substance, quite full-bodied, still undeveloped and very slightly rough, some depth, floral traces, hint of red berries, stony, chalky mineral notes, still very slightly astringent on a very good, firm finish.
