1999 Bechtheim Rosengarten Schwarzriesling Auslese Edition Jean Buscher, Rheinhessen, Germany

Clear garnet to ruby red, lighter at the rim. Spicy aromas of plums and red berries with a slightly smoky note, and an elegant oak aroma. Spicy oak on the fruit, a trace of residual sugar, finely-grained, sandy tannins, powerful body, heady, lots of red berries on the palate, medium concentration, good balance, nice quaffing style with a good finish.
