2003 Thermenregion Pinot Noir trocken Exklusiv, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Red berries, wilted leaves, mushrooms and some old oak on the nose. Quite a lot of oak on the palate, fruit initially somewhat subdued, more leaves as well as some undergrowth, smoky notes, slightly rustic style, partly matured, mineral notes, quite good persistence, more fruit develops with aeration, tart finish slightly heavy on the oak. Oak becomes much better integrated with aeration.
